Built for decisions

Everything between the question and the answer

A survey tool is judged by what happens after people click Submit. Votense counts every answer the moment it is stored, protects the count from repeat voting, and shows you — and anyone you choose — the result.

From question to result in four steps

  1. 1

    Write the questions

Start from a template or a blank page. Add questions from the picker — or press “/” — and drag them into order. Choose Poll for a quick vote or Survey for a questionnaire; the type sets sensible defaults for results and voting limits.

  2. 2

    Set the rules

Under Voting & results, decide who may see the results and how many times one person may answer. Under Advanced, set a closing date or a response cap. Nothing here needs code.

  3. 3

    Share one link

A poll lives at /p/…, a survey at /s/…, and either can be embedded in your own page. Respondents need no account, and every submission passes a bot check before it is stored.

  4. 4

    Read the result

Open the Results tab for charts per question, the response timeline and completion rate. Export every response as CSV, or have each one delivered to a webhook or a channel as it arrives.

What teams use Votense for

Customer experience

Track NPS and satisfaction

A dedicated NPS question gives you the score, the promoter and detractor counts and the 0–10 distribution, with the reason for each score in the same row of the export.

People & HR

Hear from the whole company

Engagement, pulse and exit surveys that ask for no name or email, group statements into matrices, close on a date and keep results visible only to you.

Product & research

Force the trade-off

Rank features, or give respondents a hundred points to spend. Screen out people who are not in your market before they answer anything else.

Teams & communities

Decide together, in the open

A poll with live results and one vote each settles a question in a meeting, a class or a group chat — and a ranked vote shows where the real agreement is.

Questions people ask

Is Votense free?
Yes. The free plan gives you 10 surveys or polls with up to 100 responses each, and it does not expire. All five survey question types, live results, voting limits, scheduling, conditional logic, CSV export, embedding and webhooks are on the free plan. Paid plans raise the limits and add connected apps, email notifications, file uploads, password protection, your own logo and organizations.
Can I create a poll without signing up?
Yes. The poll maker creates a poll with one question and up to 12 options without an account, and gives you a voting link and a live results link. A poll made that way cannot be edited afterwards and is deleted automatically after 90 days. Sign in if you want to keep polls in a dashboard or add more questions.
Do respondents need an account?
No. Anyone with the link can answer. The only exception is a survey whose owner has chosen “one vote per account”, which asks voters to sign in so that each account can vote once.
How do you stop people voting twice?
You choose the rule: one vote per browser, one per network, or one per signed-in account. Whichever you pick is enforced on our server when the vote arrives, as a write that only succeeds if no ballot exists for that voter — so several simultaneous attempts still produce exactly one vote. One per browser stops casual repeat voting but not someone who switches devices; for a vote where that matters, require sign-in.
What is the difference between a poll and a survey here?
They are built in the same editor with the same question types. The type sets the defaults and the address: a poll lives at /p/…, shows results live and allows one vote per browser; a survey lives at /s/…, keeps results hidden until it closes and does not limit responses. You can change any of those settings on either.
Which question types are available?
Multiple choice, checkboxes, dropdown, star rating, slider, short and long text, email, number, phone, URL, date and time, plus five survey types: matrix grid, ranking, Net Promoter Score, Likert scale and constant sum. File upload is available on paid plans.
Can I hide results until voting ends?
Yes. Results can be public and live, shown to a person only after they vote, published when the closing date passes, or kept private to you. Written answers are never shown on a public results page — only charts of the choice and scale questions.
How do I get my data out?
Every response can be exported as CSV from your dashboard at any time, one row per response and one column per question. You can also have each response delivered as it arrives to your own webhook endpoint or to Telegram on any plan, and to Slack, Discord, Microsoft Teams, Google Chat, Airtable or Notion on paid plans.

Your first poll takes about a minute.
